Unveiling Shiboridashi, this traditional handleless teapot created in collaboration with Amsterdam-based artist Julia Saldana, blending contemporary design with traditional form.

Crafted from 50% recycled clay, this flat-shaped, minimalist vessel embraces simplicity. Without a handle or filter, it invites you to brew tea the traditional way, focusing on perfect flavour extraction. The thumb circle on the lid ensures a comfortable grip, while its rustic design beautifully reflects Steep’s vision of connecting heritage with modern artistry.

In Japanese, 絞り出し急須 (shiboridashi kyuusu) can be roughly described as a "squeeze-pour teapot," named for the way it allows you to extract every last drop of tea from the leaves. Its design is simple —consisting only of two pieces, a spouted bowl and a lid.  This shiboridashi features fine grooves carved near the spout to prevent leaves from pouring out with the tea.

As these are handmade pieces, therefore there may be slight variations in the shape, finish and colouration.
