DESCRIPTION

KIKO—a hand-picked blend of Samidori and Asahi that captures the bright, fleeting moments of spring. It's a mature, well developed matcha with a well balanced smooth umami flavour, perfect either as usucha or as an intense koicha shot.

 

Our heritage, ‘first-flush’ matcha uses traditional methods developed over generations. Tencha is carefully hand-picked and sorted, then the leaves are immediately steamed to lock in the unique umami flavour and later stone-ground.

 

The first sip bursts with the zesty sparkle of yuzu lemon, its citrusy brightness awakening the senses. This lively, tangy note quickly mellows into the soft sweetness of fresh sweet pea blossoms, adding a gentle, green freshness that feels like a breath of spring air.

 

The balance of vibrant and delicate flavours makes KIKO a refreshing journey—where the crisp citrus of yuzu meets the tender sweetness of sweet peas, creating a matcha that is both invigorating and serenely delightful.

SERVING SUGGESTION

 

Usucha

In a tea bowl, add 3g of sifted matcha and 120ml of hot water (75°C). Vigorously whisk the matcha in a "Z" pattern with a bamboo whisk until a fine foam appears.
