Yame continues to be one of Japan’s premier regions for cultivating matcha. Nestled in the high mountains of Yame, the area is renowned for its nutrient-rich soil and high humidity, sustained by the nearby rivers.
Made from Japan’s most popular green tea cultivar yabukita, this matcha has a strong, deep flavour profile with notes of Alfalfa, Basil and Butternut.
This more intense profile has a gentle bitterness making it perfect to balance with the sweetness of milk for matcha latte.
The natural creaminess, sweetness, and nutty flavor of YASU combines exceptionally well with milk.
