TASTING NOTES

We are excited to introduce this exceptional hand-picked matcha. During our recent trip to Japan, we visited numerous tea farmers and after careful consideration, selected this matcha as our standout favorite. We had the privilege of visiting Mr. Yamauchi’s farm in Toyota, Aichi prefecture where we experienced firsthand his meticulous hand-picking technique and dedication to this traditional tea cultivation.

Our new hand-picked matcha HIRO is crafted from the Saemidori, Samidori, and rare Komakage cultivar, celebrated for its gentle sweetness, vibrant green colour, and graceful finish. We’re drawn to this matcha for its lively, refreshing character. Delivering a silky texture, a captivating aroma, and a harmonious umami profile. This is a matcha that excels as usucha while retaining its complexity in milk.

HIRO is limited to only 40 tins per month.
