"At Michi, we are committed to human and enviromental sustainability in every aspect of our business. We believe that matcha is not only a delicious and healthy drink, but also a way to respect and protect the environment. That's why we only use the finest matcha from Uji Kyoto prefecture, Japan. Matcha which is grown utilising traditional methods, without harmful pesticides or chemical fertilisers, minimising water and energy consumption where possible. We also use either biodegradable packaging or reusable materials for our products.
We pledge to continue to reduce our footprint and waste until we get to zero, and to educate our customers, partners and the wider community about the benefits responsible, sustainable business practices.

TRACEABILITY
At Michi we are committed to transparency in our supply chain as well as achieving the lowest possible environmental impact everything we do.
by using only materials from traceable forestries and avoiding the use of glues and plastics in our packaging.
NO PLASTIC,
NO BIO-PLASTIC
All our takeaway packaging is made up of paper from traceable forestries (100% FSC certified material) and unlike the majority of takeaway cups, MICHI cups have no plastic linings. This means that all our packaging is recyclable and home compostable, the manufacturer [name] has guaranteed that the energy used in production as well as transportation is CO2 compensated.
BIODIVERSITY
Uji matcha is grown with natural fertilisers, harvested by hand, and shade-grown using techniques developed over centuries. Uji tea farmers prioritise sustainability, reducing waste where possible and promoting biodiversity.
